What We Do
Picture this: you own a home and you want to protect it. You purchase homeowners insurance from an insurance company with a good reputation. Some time later, a storm rolls through Oklahoma and the wind and hail cause damage to your home. A roofing contractor inspects your property and tells you your roof is damaged by the storm and needs to be replaced. You make a claim and your insurance company sends an adjuster out.
The adjuster finds damage to just the vents and pipe jacks on your roof.
Or to just two shingles.
Or finds no damage at all.
Whatever the case, the amount of damages the adjuster found falls below your deductible and no claim payment is issued.
Your insurance company tells you to send in photos of damage they missed in order for them to do a second inspection. Your roofer helps you send in more photos. You play phone tag with the adjuster for weeks. Maybe you get another insurance inspection after that, maybe they even send an engineer, or maybe they update their estimate. Your claim is closed with little or no payment.
Your roofer says you need a new roof. Your insurance company claims you don’t. What is a homeowner to do?
